From a nearly 200 year old producer in Mie Japan comes the traditional cook pot.  Each takes a two week long artisanal  process, these authentic Donabe pots are Banko-ware, a kind of porous semi-stoneware with a a high petalite content giving them great durability and heat retention properties.  Properly maintained this Donabe can last for decades.
